No two bodies
train the same way
Fundamentally Astute Athletics is a strength-and-conditioning company, founded in Harare in 2013. We train athletes to meet the real demands of their sport — and we built the app to put that coaching within reach of anyone who wants it.
What we believe
FAA was founded on a simple observation: athletes were not reaching their potential because of inconsistent, technically incorrect training, inadequate conditioning, and no psychological preparation. The founding thesis answered it directly — talent is innate, skill is built. Skill comes from deliberate, repeated, correctly-taught practice.
From that follows the principle that organises everything we do: no two bodies should be trained the same way. Goals, injury history, body structure, height and limb length all shape how and why a person must train. In the app, that means a programme comes from your assessment — not a generic template.
Built by coaches, for the people they coach
FAA began with youth athlete development — teaching the fundamentals of a sport before technique, and technique before strategy. Over the years the practice broadened into full-spectrum personal training: athletes, general fitness, and executives, coached in person in small groups.
The app is a return to the founding idea — helping an athlete build the body their sport needs — now written down and made reachable, so the plan, the cues and the standards a coach holds you to are in your pocket.

What we stand for
Development
Helping every athlete reach their full potential.
Consistency
Reaching performance levels that hold, rather than swing.
Dedication
Significant, sustained time and effort invested per athlete.
Nurturing
Providing the conditions, care and attention that development needs.
Leadership
Inspiration and guidance toward becoming a significant team player.
Responsibility
Athletes held accountable for their own behaviour and progress.
FAA rejects performance-enhancing drugs and banned substances outright, educates athletes on the harm they cause, and operates within WADA parameters.
The four-level pathway
Education and mental preparation come before physical training. From there, development runs through four levels.
Fundamentals
Identify and teach the building blocks of the discipline — correct execution, and why it matters.
Build skill
Merge the fundamentals with talent, turning stance and movement into a usable skill set.
Nurture technique
Layer in the techniques that apply to different in-game situations.
Psychology
Equip the athlete for the mental pressures of their sport — the piece most often missing.
